So, what should you include in your pitch deck?

Pitch decks can come in different forms, but the general objective is to provide a succinct, compelling overview of your project and outline the opportunity it presents to potential investors.  You use your pitch deck to get interest and get to the next meeting with investors.

A successful pitch deck would normally include the following:

  • Introduction: overview and vision
  • The problem and your solution
  • The concept: value proposition, key characteristics and features
  • The market: size, demographics, etc.
  • Competitive landscape
  • Financials projections and business model
  • Marketing and sales strategy
  • Timelines and key goals
  • Management team and experience
  • Validation: sales to date, achievements etc.
  • Funding request, use of funds and exit strategy
