INNOVIC's Next Big Thing Award™ is an annual competition and award to find and showcase leading-edge new inventions and innovations that have the potential to become 'the next big thing'.

The Next Big Thing Awards featured an exhibition of the top 25 inventions and innovations at the Melbourne Museum. This year's competition was viewed by over 76,000 people, finalists attend a prestigious Awards ceremony and outstanding media and promotion opportunities.

2009 will offer over $60,000 in cash and prizes plus $100,000 media exposure. The best international finalist will be flown to Melbourne Australia with 5 nights of accommodation to attend the awards ceremony.

Accompanying activities will include a Young Entrepreneurs' Week, to stimulate and encourage the next generation of innovative Australians.
