Background

INNOVIC is the brand name of the Victorian Innovation Centre Limited.  It is a not for profit organisation limited by guarantee.  INNOVIC was established in 1986 by the former Swinburne and Chisholm Institutes of Technology as part of a joint State and Federal Government initiative.
Although independent, INNOVIC’s services for early stage innovators – Victorian Innovators’ Program (VIP@INNOVIC) are supported by the Victorian Government under its VicStart program.

INNOVIC provides two distinct services for early and later stage innovators.

  • VIP@INNOVIC is specifically designed to assist Victorian innovators, inventors, entrepreneurs and small businesses with new ideas in the early development stages. Most of the services delivered under the VIP@INNOVIC program are free or at minimum cost to users.
